Description
Project Vesta will establish a Defence-wide M&S knowledge base that provides a single authoritative and discoverable view of M&S activity. The intended capability is a coherent M&S knowledge ecosystem in which:
• M&S activities are registered and described consistently
• Information is recorded against an agreed metadata standard
• MoD users can discover relevant projects, programmes, models, simulations, data, tools, capabilities and associated expertise
• Existing M&S assets can be identified for potential reuse
• DMSC and its key stakeholders can access information to support delivery of impartial advice and guidance, governance, assurance and coherence efforts
• Assurance, verification and validation processes can be managed and recorded
