How to find international public tenders

Choose the right official source, search by subject and country, and check whether an opportunity is still open.

THE SHORT ANSWER

Start with the market and the buying organization. Combine subject words with procurement codes, then verify the original notice before preparing a bid.

01

Choose the market and official portal

TED covers notices published in the EU Official Journal and includes some notices from outside the EU. Find a Tender is the official UK notice service. World Bank notices concern financed projects in many borrowing countries. SAM.gov and UNGM provide other routes, but their notices are not yet included in this catalog. A source filter describes publication coverage; it is not a guarantee of eligibility.

02

Use several ways to describe the purchase

Search for the actual product or service, a common alternative name, and the relevant CPV division. A buyer can describe the same requirement using a technical specification, an outcome or a service category. Combine a country filter with CPV and inspect both broad and narrow results. Original notice titles are kept in their published language; search aliases help discovery but do not translate the binding documents.

03

Shortlist only actionable opportunities

Open the notice and confirm its type, submission deadline, place of performance, lots and procedure. An award notice records an outcome and is not a new invitation. A planning notice may help pipeline research but may not accept bids. An unknown deadline remains unknown. Follow the official link to obtain documents, updates and the submission address.

04

Keep a decision record

Record the notice number, buyer, deadline with time zone, scope, eligibility and the exact source version you reviewed. Assign a person to monitor amendments. This catalog provides discovery metadata; the original notice and procurement documents determine what must be submitted.
